The preacher, the family and all of the anxious people in the congregation waited patiently for the church chorus to sing. But before they began Reverend Thomas said, "All you ladies look beautiful."
Reverend Thomas got up before the excited audience and spoke about the choir in which the people of the congregation will participate. He said, "To all of you good people who are gathered with us today, I would like to thank you for being here at this very special time. We are about to sing gloriously and praise the Lord for all that He has given to us. I know you will, but I ask you anyway to please be respectful of the choir as they make a joyful noise unto the Lord."
"We also welcome all the children in the congregation and hope you will join us in this happy and festive occasion. That is all I want to say, but if any of you want to make a special request, please say so before we get started. Then we can all join in the joyful singing and praising of our Lord."
A patron from the audience raised her hand and said, "My name is Louise and I just want to say that I am looking forward to joining all of you in this great singing and praise time. I truly believe that it will bless us all and bring us closer to God. May God be with us with all his blessings?"
Another patron raised his hand and said, "Reverend, let's get on with the singing. Praise the Lord! That's all I have to say. Let's sing!"
Then Reverend Thomas then took back the microphone and announced to the audience, "Thank you all for being here. Let us celebrate this blessed event with the greatest of courtesy and respect. Let the choir begin and we welcome all the lovely voices in this audience to participate."
